For over 30 years, Children’s Happy Day School has been enriching the minds and nurturing the spirits of young children. Founded in 1987, Children’s Happy Day School was originally located in Brookline Village. In the fall of 1998, Children’s Happy Day School moved to West Roxbury. It was the hope and wish of Ms. Helen Rafiy, founder and owner of Happy Day, to build a unique school for young children, one full of light and surrounded by nature. Working with her son, Moe Rafiy, Ms. Helen opened a beautiful, child-friendly facility at 5 Charles Park Road, West Roxbury, in 2004.
Ms. Helen:
Helen Rafiy is the founder of Children’s Happy Day School. She has been in the field of education for over 40 years. She earned a MA in early childhood education from Wheelock College.
Mr. Moe and BCF:
Our beautiful facility would not have been possible without the hard work, passion and dedication of Moe Rafiy. After receiving his MBA from American University, Mr. Moe completed course work in Early Childhood Education at Boston College and demonstrated his love for children while working in our PreK classroom. He acted as project manager during the building of Children’s Happy Day School and spent countless hours working to make sure the school’s mission was met. In creating this one of a kind school, Mr. Moe’s ultimate goal, to create an environment where all children could benefit from early childhood education, was accomplished.
Mr. Moe passed away in May 2007 at the age of 31, after a brief illness. We continue to work towards accomplishing the goals he set in place and strive to instill the same values in our students Mr. Moe possessed.
